Scott James to Sit Out for Back Surgery
(October 12, 2022)
You may have noticed at the recent World 100 that the field was missing Scott James, a driver who rarely misses a show at the famed Eldora Speedway. Over the past few years, James has been dealing with a series of back problems that have increased to the point that being out of the racecar was the best option. This week James will be having surgery, putting his time behind the wheel on a hiatus. (Tyler Carr Racing Photo)

With an indefinite timeline on when, or if, he will return to racing, this is not retirement but doing everything right to ensure he has no future issues after surgery. Time will tell if we see the Sliver Shark back racing again, but his possible return to racing will be determined by his doctor.

Scott James Motorsports would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped over his 27 year career including his sponsors and crew help from Paul; Darren and Mark Litteral; Sean, Garrett and Jacob Wardell; Chip, Dad (Bubby), wife Megan, daughter Abby and all the friends and fans that made going to the track each week fun.
